Jill Koose

Jill joined the COS faculty in July 2015 after spending four years as a school nurse in both the Easton and Bangor school districts. She graduated cum laude from York College of PA in 1988 with her BSN, and then attended East Stroudsburg University for her school nurse certificate. She worked in a hospital setting for 16 years prior to becoming a school nurse and has experience in maternal/newborn health, pediatrics, psychiatry, rehabilitation and medical/surgical. Her resume also includes teaching childbirth classes, managing immunization clinics, and working in a pediatrician’s office and as a nurse consultant at a medical spa in the Lehigh Valley. Over the last thirty years, she has experienced many aspects of the health care profession, but working with children has always been her passion.

“When I visited Circle of Seasons for the first time, I witnessed an outside spring performance of singing, dancing, and storytelling. I walked inside the building and smelled the delicious lingering scent of freshly baked bread. Every child I met was smiling and joyful. I immediately knew this is where I wanted and needed to be.”

Outside of work, Jill’s hobbies include gourmet cooking, traveling, spending time at her “Home by the Sea”, yoga, and crafting. She has been married to her husband, Gene, for 30 years, has three grown children, Jenna, Jarrett, and Jaclyn, and adores her two dogs, Lainey and Elliott.
