COS Board Approves Staggered Start Opening Plan
APPROVED: Staggered Start Option K-2/3-5 – Modified Approved Model during Substantial Community Spread
Circle of Seasons Charter School will move to a transitional hybrid model for all students K-2 starting February 16, 2021, during a level of substantial community spread.
Circle of Seasons Charter School will move to a transitional hybrid model for all students 3-5 starting March 1, 2021, during a level of substantial community spread.
NO Health & Safety Condition
If there is a level of substantial community spread, only K-2 students will be offered in-person instruction.
Students in grades 3-8 will remain in full day remote instruction February 16-26.
Students in grades 6-8 will remain in full day remote instruction March 1-12.
COS will move to offer each grade band a transitional hybrid model (2 full days on-campus for each student) upon returning to campus with a full remote option for families who prefer to remain in remote learning.
Mon & Tuesday: Half of students – rosters to be determined with family, alphabetical, and transportation considerations (*Details to be provided to families)
Wednesday: All remote
Thursday & Friday: Half of students – rosters to be determined with family, alphabetical, and transportation considerations (*Details to be provided to families)
Circle of Seasons has followed and will continue to follow the guidance of the PA Departments of Education and Health in regards to on-campus and remote learning.
The hybrid model will serve as a gateway to initiating our original 2020-21 health and safety plan programming. We intend on March 29th (after spring break) to offer the original three 2020-21 options below for all K-8 students:
4 full days a week in-person with one full day remote
4 half days a week in-person with afternoons and one full day remote
5 full days of remote learning
Add-On B: Targeted Student Populations outside of the identified in-person instruction student body (i.e. Targeted Student Populations within the entire K-8 student body) will be offered 2 full days of school per week as part of the hybrid model. Families have the option to continue remote learning.
Targeted Student Populations: “students with disabilities, English Learners, etc.”
