Home District Athletics – Early Release Request
Circle of Seasons recognizes that eligible students may have opportunities to participate in athletic programs through their resident/home school district. When participation requires a student to leave COS before the end of the school day for practices, games, meets, or competitions, families must submit a Home District Athletics Early Release Request Form.
This form allows families to provide the student’s sport, season, participation dates, and required early-release schedule so that COS can review and plan appropriately while supporting the student’s continued academic success.
In accordance with COS Policy 122 – Extra-Curricular Activities, student-athletes are responsible for communicating with their teachers and completing any classwork or assignments missed as a result of early dismissal. Continued participation and early-release privileges are dependent upon satisfactory academic performance, behavior, and attendance.
Requests requiring students to leave more than 30 minutes before regular dismissal require additional administrative approval.
Families must also provide:

Verification from the resident district coach or athletic director confirming team participation

A current practice and game/competition schedule

The completed request form and supporting documentation should be submitted for administrative review prior to beginning a recurring early-release schedule.
