Circle of Seasons (COS) Charter School is the only Public Waldorf School on the East Coast. COS attracts a diverse student population from families in the greater Lehigh Valley and the surrounding areas who understand the value of our mission and vision and are who committed to the school’s instructional and operational philosophy. Admission to Circle of Seasons Charter School is free and open to any child of appropriate age who resides in Pennsylvania.
How Do I Enroll My Child?
Circle of Seasons (COS) Charter School strongly encourages parent and guardians that a parent or guardian attend a public enrollment event. This event is usually held in January or February. This allows the parent/guardian to become familiar with our developmentally appropriate curriculum, ask questions, and make a decision as to whether or not COS is the right fit for their child and family. Interested families may contact the school year round for information regarding upcoming enrollment, parent education nights and scheduled tours of our facility.
The ENROLLMENT NIGHT for the 2020-2021 school year will be held from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm for Kindergarten and from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm for Grades 1- 6 on January 22, 2020.
***Kindergarten age requirement: Child must turn 5 on or before August 1.***
If you would like to enroll your child for the current school year, or if you would like to learn more about Circle of Seasons Charter School, please contact: Karri Schreppel at 610-285-6267 or email@example.com
In the event that we have more applicants than seats available, a lottery will be held. Applicants’ names will be drawn randomly. Parents and/or guardians will be contacted with their child’s number/position on the waiting list. If a seat becomes available, and your child is next in line, COS will notify you by email. Applicants not offered spaces will remain on the waiting list only for the school year for which they applied. You will need to re-apply the following year.
The LOTTERY DRAWING for the 2020-2021 school year will be held from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm on February 14, 2020. All applicants will be notified by email of their position on the wait list.
Applications received after 3:30 pm on February 14, 2020 will be added to the wait lists for their respective grades.
If your child was on a wait list for the 2019-2020 school year, their place on the list does not carry over to the 2020-2021 school year. You are required to re-apply during the Enrollment Period in order to participate in the lottery.
Applications do not guarantee a spot in any grade.
Children are given seats in a grade or placed on the waiting list in the following order:
The child(ren) of a current Circle of Seasons Charter School employee.
Siblings of current students enrolled in the upcoming school year who reside in the Northwestern Lehigh School District.
Siblings of current students enrolled in the upcoming school year who reside in any school district.
Students who reside in Northwestern Lehigh School District and do not fall into any of the above categories.
Students who do not reside in Northwestern Lehigh School District and do not fall into any of the above categories.
Accepting a Seat at Circle of Seasons
If your child receives a seat at Circle of Seasons Charter School, you will receive a “Public Charter School Enrollment Notification” form along with other important enrollment documents. (The Public Charter School Enrollment Notification form is the form the PA Department of Education recognizes as your child's official enrollment in the charter school.)
You will be required to complete and submit the Enrollment Notification form and information forms by a deadline indicated on the acceptance letter. All forms must be submitted by the indicated deadline to complete the enrollment process. If these forms are not received by the designated deadline, your child’s seat will go to the child who is first on the official waiting list.
Circle of Seasons Charter School values diversity and welcomes students and families, and talented faculty and staff, from diverse backgrounds.
