Morgan Bentley

Sixth Grade Class Teacher

Morgan Bentley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education from Kutztown University with a minor in History. She is from the Lehigh Valley area, and graduated from Northwestern Lehigh School District. Morgan has a wide range of experience, working with students grades 2-8 in diverse settings. Morgan loves working with middle level students, and strongly believes in student-centered learning. She has extensively studied middle level pedagogy, conducting several research studies while at Kutztown. Morgan’s research interests focus on accurate and multiple perspectives in social studies, as well as diverse literature in middle school classrooms. Her study on diverse literature has been published, and she is excited to share her growing reading list with her students.

She was drawn to Circle of Seasons and Waldorf education because of their pedagogical approach, and its similarity to her own. In the classroom, Morgan prefers to teach in ways that empower students and help them discover their identity and voice. She has also been trained in the Association of Middle Level Education (AMLE) standards, which overlap with Waldorf values. Within AMLE, Morgan has presented at conferences, served as a Student Ambassador during her undergraduate, and now mentors aspiring student teachers. When not at school, Morgan enjoys reading, traveling with her Pocket Constitution, and spending time with her fiancé and dogs, Lilly and Ariat.
