Trevor Leamer

Physical Education Teacher

Trevor earned his Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from DeSales University. After graduating, he served as a Building Substitute Teacher for grades K-6 in the public school system. This valuable experience exposed him to what it’s like teaching a diverse group of students within an ever-changing professional role. As a three-sport athlete his entire life and active fitness trainer, Trevor has always had a strong passion for the benefits of movement and sport.

Currently, Trevor is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education at IUP to continue his professional growth. Trevor grew up hearing stories from his father, a Health and PE teacher of over 30 years, about the joys of promoting physical activity and healthy living habits for students of all backgrounds. This sparked an early interest for his passion of helping others achieve health and fitness goals, and he is excited to merge his ideas with Waldorf Pedagogy. Trevor aims to utilize his own enthusiasm within the Waldorf Education model to create and implement a PE curriculum that focuses on the whole child’s ability to unlock their passion for movement through creative, immersive experiences.
